Defying Gravity

Defying Gravity

“I think I’ll try defying gravity…… Some things I cannot change, but till I try, I’ll never know!……..Everyone deserves the chance to fly….and if I’m flying solo at least I’m flying free!”   -Elphaba

Then comes baby.....

Then comes baby…..

The other day I had a really special maternity session.  One of my favorite things about being a photographer is I get  to capture such an intimate view of momentous occasions. What makes it really special is when those momentous occasions are a new chapter for people that I’ve been lucky enough to work with in [...]

for the Love of Boston

for the Love of Boston

I certainly can’t highlight all the things I love about the northeast without including Boston! The truth is, Boston was destined to be on our path before we ever moved here, click here for that story.  Once we arrived, this city won us over on the very first visit.  There is so much about the [...]

a view from the top!

a view from the top!

After all the rain, the sun started to peak through the clouds, and it was finally clear enough to head to the Top of the Rock.  It was definitely worth the wait. This is what I saw there and I hope you enjoy the view! If you go visit the Top of the Rock, I want to [...]

A stroll through the park

A stroll through the park

You can’t go to New York City and not stop by Central Park. These are some of my favorite images I got on my first visit to the park, well first visit after moving here!

It's a jungle out there! Baby 2!

the night I fell in love with N.Y.

the night I fell in love with N.Y.

If ever there was a night I fell in love with  NY, this would have to be it.  It was rainy not a downpour but more like a mist.  It wasn’t enough to keep me inside.  There were sights to see, so I set out on a path the great City in front on me. [...]

a room with a view

a room with a view

On my first visit we stayed at The Michelangelo Hotel.  It was definitely worth a blog, I loved it here. Everyone from the Hotel was so nice and helpful ….AND the view was perfect! I spent a few rainy hours staring out the window.

next stop 30 Rock...

next stop 30 Rock…

The second stop I made was Rockefeller Center.  I had planned to go see the view from the top of the rock. But it was cloudy & rainy and as eager as I was to see the view, I was told I wouldn’t be able to see anything,  so I had to wait. A HUGE fan of [...]

St. Patrick's Cathedral

St. Patrick’s Cathedral

On my first visit to the City, the very first stop was  St Patrick’s Cathedral. It is right across from Rockefeller Center.  As soon as I walked inside It became clear why this Cathedral is so special.  Did you ever hear the expression, “you could feel the love”?  It was here that I could  feel the love.  I [...]

a Higher Love

a Higher Love

I love to paint. Painting was my favorite class in High school. After High school I painted less and less, In College while studying Graphic Design my artistic medium became computers. Then we bought a house, and our walls became my new canvas. I’ve watched waaaaay too much HGTV over the years. So I painted, repainted and painted that house again [...]

Fresh off the train....

Fresh off the train….

I take the train into the City because frankly, the idea of driving in Manhattan still freaks me out.  Also why miss the opportunity to land in one of the best places in the City, Grand Central Station. For people who commute into the city it’s just another part of their everyday journey. However for me it has become the perfect beginning and [...]

I LOVE NEW YORK

I LOVE NEW YORK

We have been here in Connecticut nearly four years now and I am loving the East Coast. One reason I love it here so much is ‘The City’. When we first moved here, people would say that they were “going into the city”. I thought they were referring to Hartford, but oh was I wrong! They were [...]

Family Portrait in the Snow

Family Portrait in the Snow

A few weeks ago I decided to take advantage of all the snow we have had here in Connecticut.  It made the perfect winter backdrop for a great family portrait! We were freezing at the end of our session, but the pictures were well worth it!   Josephine, I adore you & and your family & had [...]

Annie & Andrew

Annie & Andrew

My friends Annie & Andrew were in town for the holiday and in need of some great pictures. I was more than happy to help them out with that!  They are such a great couple and so much fun to work with, which made narrowing down my favorites quite the challenge. Annie & Andrew, Thank You for letting [...]
