the night I fell in love with N.Y.

If ever there was a night I fell in love with  NY, this would have to be it.  It was rainy not a downpour but more like a mist.  It wasn’t enough to keep me inside.  There were sights to see, so I set out on a path the great City in front on me. Determined to find my way around.  I couldn’t tell you what I was looking for, I just kept walking.  I made it all the way to the Empire State building, of course it was too cloudy for the view at the top, but it sure was pretty from the street.

You might think I could be intimidated walking in the City at night, especially after watching all those episodes of Law and Order.   The truth is there was something really magical about walking around here in the rain at night. The rain kept the streets mostly empty and the lights on the buildings set the cloudy sky aglow. Have you ever heard that Simon and Garfunkel song Only living boy in New York?  If there was a soundtrack to this night that would be the song.
